I have extensive experience in clinical trials, having been the prinicipal investigator or a sub investigator in nearly 100 studies over the years. Most of these studies have been vital in bringing much needed treatments to the general public. I was the first physician in the area to offer Procrit for anemia and Doxil for Kaposi's Sarcoma. Both of these therapies continue to be gold standard treatments. I have also participated in many trials introducing new HIV anti-viral drugs, as well as treatments for wasting syndrome, low testosterone, and vaccines just to name a few. Currently we are conducting a trial with an investigational once a day integrase inhibitor. Our next trial will launch soon (Summer 2011) and will feature a new investigational CCR5 entry inhibitor.
